Angela Kane

CEO, Secwepemcul’ecw Restoration and Stewardship Society (SRSS)

Angela Kane is the Chief Executive Officer of the Secwepemcul’ecw Restoration and Stewardship Society (SRSS), which is dedicated to wildfire restoration within the unceded Traditional Territory of the Secwepemc First Nation. With over 35 years of experience in the financial and business industry, Angela has acquired a diverse range of skills that have brought her to her current role as CEO of the SRSS.

Over the last 30 years, she has collaborated with various BC First Nation communities, supporting and developing economic development opportunities and establishing corporate structures for First Nations, which included training and transitioning staff to support their communities’ economic development.

Angela is also an active volunteer in her community. She is the President of the Falkland Heritage Society and has served as a director on the board of a society that built affordable housing for seniors and the disabled. Currently, she is the interim CEO and Board of Director for the Spirit Valley Development LP, a First Nation-owned company, where she was previously their Band/Lands and Natural Resource Manager.
