Heather draws upon her deep affinity for the natural world to guide her design practice and consulting work for Dougan & Associates, an Ontario-based terrestrial ecology and design firm. Since 2019, she has been an administrator for the Network of Nature, which began as a collaboration between Dougan & Associates and Canadian Geographic. Dedicated to connecting people to plants across Canada, the Network of Nature develops science-based resources that support communities engage in urban ecological restoration projects.
