CEO, Coastal First Nations - Great Bear Initiative

Christine is the CEO of the Great Bear Initiative-Coastal First Nations (GBI). She is a member of the Haida Nation and Lax Kw’alaams community.

She provides strategic leadership on the protection of terrestrial and marine environments and natural resources of its member Nations and promotes community self-sufficiency and sustainable economic development throughout North and Central Coast and Haida Gwaii.
Christine supports CFN’s Nation members as they work together to build a strong, economy that recognizes our Aboriginal Rights and Title and protects our culture and ecosystems.

Christine has a successful track record in partnering with conservation groups, as well as national and global advocates who are working to address climate change, sustainable development and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous peoples.
