Matteo Gazzetti was born in Sassuolo (Modena) in 1991. He graduated from the University of Bologna with a degree in Law and has an LL.M. from King’s College London. He joined the Italian Foreign Service in 2021 after working as a lawyer for four years at the Milan office of an international law firm. At the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, he worked for two years in the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies before being assigned to the Embassy of Italy in Ottawa in May 2023.
