Kody Penner is Lead, Business Planning, Copper Growth for Teck Resource’s and has been the Vice-Chair of the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) for three years as the company went through major managerial and structural changes. He has a diverse skillset with experience working in multiple areas of the mining industry and is able to align rightsholder and stakeholder values through collaboration and governance by seeing both the financial and Indigenous sides of responsible development. Prior to working at Teck, he worked as the Employment Director for the Tahltan Central Government and as an underground miner at Newcrest’s Brucejack Mine. Kody holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from UBC.
