Jennifer Figner

Provost and Vice President, Academic, British Columbia Institute of Technology

As Provost and Vice President, Academic, Jennifer is responsible for the creation and implementation of the academic priorities for the BC Institute of Technology (BCIT). She oversees and accelerates crucial academic initiatives and leads the renewal of academic activities across five campuses. Passionate about the role of lifelong learning, Jennifer also leads the team that are rolling out BCIT’s Agile and Work Integrated Learning framework which is instrumental in provincial workforce development and recovery. 

Jennifer joined BCIT in 2005 after more than a decade working in the public accounting sector in both financial and human resource management roles. She holds a BCom from the University of British Columbia and is a designated CPA, CA. For her first fourteen years at BCIT, Jennifer worked in BCIT’s School of Business as faculty and then Associate Dean.
