Policy is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal for enabling and implementing rapid, system-wide change on the journey to net zero. However, to achieve a net-zero future, governments must create the conditions for success while balancing the complex needs of stakeholders. How can we ensure that business, society, and the planet all emerge as winners in the clean economy? This session will examine mechanisms used in Canada and beyond to determine the most effective policy tools for managing this balancing act while also achieving our net-zero goals.
