This event will include five representatives from Indigenous and civil society groups from Africa, Latin America, and Asia who will share their analysis of the most important issues at stake in the climate negotiations, and their perspectives on the positive role that Canada and Global North countries can play on these issues during and beyond COP28. This event will also focus on the actions that Global North countries can take to achieve climate justice and address key themes including climate financing, youth, Indigenous rights, and agriculture.

Cet événement comprendra cinq représentant-e-s de groupes autochtones et de la société civile d’Afrique, d’Amérique latine, et d’Asie qui partageront leur analyse des enjeux les plus importants des négociations climatiques, et leurs perspectives sur le rôle positif que peuvent jouer le Canada et les pays du Nord sur ces enjeux pendant et au-delà de la COP28. Cet événement se concentrera également sur les actions que les pays du Nord peuvent entreprendre afin d’atteindre la justice climatique et adresser les thèmes clés tels que le financement climatique, la jeunesse, les droits autochtones et l’agriculture.
