GLOBE at COP24

From December 3-14, 2018, more than 30,000 corporate, civil society and government leaders will come together for the 24^th Conference of the Parties (COP24) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Katowice, Poland. Delegates will discuss key climate change issues and work towards a rulebook to operationalize the Paris Agreement.

GLOBE Series and The Delphi Group are participating in COP24 and working with a number of leading Canadian companies to showcase Canadian corporate leadership on climate change.

Sports can make a major contribution to mitigating climate change by reducing its carbon footprint, by impacting its supply chain and spectators. Hockey offers a way of engaging and empowering citizens to climate action and introducing climate-friendly ways of conduct. The event introduces various ways that sports have already contributed and the opportunities for wider action.
