Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin to Speak at GLOBE Forum 2018

GLOBE Series, North America’s largest and longest-running corporate sustainability conference and exposition series, is pleased to announce Robert E. Rubin, Co-Chairman Emeritus, Council on Foreign Relations and Former U.S. Treasury Secretary to speak at GLOBE Forum 2018.

Solutions-minded business people will mobilize around the transition to clean economy at GLOBE Forum 2018, which brings together nearly two thousand business and government leaders from more than 50 countries to network, collaborate and advance global business and sustainability agendas. This year, the conference theme is Disrupt Business as Usual and it is taking place March 14-16, 2018 in Vancouver, Canada.

Robert Rubin joins the panel discussion, Climate Risk and Investment with Bob Litterman, and moderator Kate Gordon. Bob Litterman is the Chairman of the Risk Committee and a founding partner of Kepos Capital, a New York City based systematic global macro firm. Prior to joining Kepos Capital in 2010, Bob enjoyed a 23-year career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he served in research, risk management, investments and thought leadership roles. Panel moderator, Kate Gordon is the Senior Advisor at the Paulson Institute, where she provides strategic support on issues related to climate change and sustainable economic growth.

The Climate Risk and Investment discussion will take the form of an armchair dialogue and will focus on the roles of corporate policy and practice in measuring and managing climate risk. Speakers will quanitfy the economic and financial risks, and explore the investment opportunities in climate adaptation and mitigation.
