Matt is the Head of Decarbonization and Energy Transition for Norda Stelo where he sits at the intersection of strategy and implementation to accelerate impact. He supports heavy industry, climate technologies, and battery supply chain actors in getting to net zero faster while maximizing their ESG performance and enabling the energy transition. He guides net zero and renewable energy strategies, GHG technology investment decisions, clean technology development and deployment, asset performance optimization through Stelar, and ESG performance evaluation. Prior to Norda, Matt was Vice President New Energy Technologies at Exergy Solutions where led a corporate technology strategy group and the development of advanced low carbon technologies through the combination of agile engineering and additive manufacturing. Previously he was the Director of the GHG Priority Area at COSIA accelerating the pace of GHG and novel technology innovation through collaboration. Prior to joining COSIA Matt helped build and lead the consulting arm of the Pembina Institute with Canadian businesses of all sizes and sectors to improve their environmental and financial performance by integrating sustainability solutions, innovation, and clean energy technology into their strategies and operations. Matt is chair of the Academy for Sustainable Innovation and board member of Foresight, Canada’s largest clean technology accelerator.
