Jessie Sitnick

Principal, Sitnick Strategies
Jessie Sitnick is a leading strategic communications advisor specializing in climate, sustainability, and sustainable finance. Over the past two decades, she has worked with businesses, NGOs, and governments, tackling issues as diverse as mainstreaming the concept of sustainable finance, creating the political space for market-based climate policies, and supporting Indigenous-led advocacy to protect sacred lands. Jessie began her career at WWF-Canada, starting as a major donor proposal writer in the early 2000s and growing into the role of head of strategic comms, responsible for the organization’s overall voice, messaging, and public reputation. She helped launch and was the communications architect behind Canada’s Ecofiscal Commission and was a primary communications advisor for the launch of the Smart Prosperity Leader’s Initiative. Jessie spent seven years as an executive leader at Argyle (now Chagemakers) and founded practices in Sustainable Value and Indigenous Settlement Communications. Jessie returned to her roots in the ENGO world in 2023 to lead the re-brand and re-launch of Generate Canada (formerly The Natural Step Canada). She launched her independent consulting practice, Sitnick Strategies, in January 2025.
