Grant Hogg

Executive Director, Environment and Climate Change Canada

Grant Hogg is the Executive Director of the Cross Sectoral Energy Division in the Energy and Transportation Directorate which develops and implements key greenhouse gas and air pollution regulations and programs to support Canada’s Emissions Reduction Plan. Grant’s team manages the Net Zero Challenge which encourages businesses to set Net-Zero by 2050 targets, and develop and implement credible plans to get there. Strategic businesses around the world recognize the value of transitioning their companies to net-zero in an increasingly decarbonized world. With his H.BSc in Biology from Trent University and an MBA from Schulich School of Business, Grant has a wide variety of work experiences from the private, non-profit and federal public service sectors. He has played key roles in both policy development and program implementation on a number of initiatives within the federal government including the Chemicals Management Plan, Environmental Emergencies, Protected Areas and the Canada Nature Fund, and Emissions Reduction Plan initiatives.
