Graeme Reed

Graeme Reed is a strategic advisor with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN), where he advocates for the inclusion of First Nations in international, national, and regional dialogues around climate change and energy policy. He completed his doctorate at the University of Guelph, and finished a post-doctoral associate at the Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Languages at York University in December. He is the coordinating lead author of the “For Our Future: Indigenous Resilience Report” as part of the Government of Canada’s national climate assessment and is a former co-chair of the International Indigenous Peoples Forum on Climate Change in the UNFCCC. He has mixed ancestry from the Great Lakes (Anishinaabe-Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory), England, Scotland and Germany.
