David Brock

Vice President, Crown Investments Corporation, Government of Saskatchewan

David M. Brock is Vice President, Energy Security at Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan. His team is responsible for modelling, planning, and coordinating provincial policy on electricity, natural gas, and nuclear energy. Previously, David was Assistant Deputy Minister for Climate Change with the provincial Ministry of Environment; prior to moving to Saskatchewan in 2017, David was in Northwest Territories serving executive government as Deputy Secretary to Cabinet for Priorities and Planning and, earlier, the legislature as Chief Electoral Officer. David studied up to the doctoral level at Dalhousie University, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Western Ontario; he recently completed the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. David is now an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saskatchewan, affiliated with the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law. David is co-chair of the national Nuclear Energy Leadership Table, and frequently collaborates with think tanks such as the C.D. Howe Institute and the Public Policy Forum. As a community volunteer, David is active with the Regina Ski Club and serves on the Board of the Regina Symphony Orchestra.
