Candace Lauren is a dynamic creative, marketing, and communications professional with over 15 years of experience across various client-focused sectors, including academia, business consulting, communications, community engagement, event planning, program development, operations, and nonprofits. As the founder of CLGC Inc., Candace empowers corporations and social impact brands to craft effective communication strategies that promote sustainability. Her other venture, Brand Communiqué Inc., specializes in brand and event management.

A distinguished brand strategist, award-winning speaker, and best-selling author, Candace has partnered with highprofile clients such as the Think and Grow Rich Institute and CBS’s “The Talk,” developing impactful strategies for sixfigure to multi-million dollar, award-winning brands. Her work has been showcased on Global TV, CBC, MSN, Yahoo! Finance, BCBusiness, and Rogers TV.

In her role as Founding Board Member, now National Programs Manager for the BEBC Society, Candace leverages her extensive expertise and creativity to drive initiatives that expand access to the Procurement and Certification Readiness Course for suppliers across Canada. She also oversees the Black Business Certification, Corporate Membership, Pro-Bono Legal, Financial Literacy, and Investment Readiness programs, fostering opportunities for growth and development within the Black business community. Her unwavering commitment to fostering supplier diversity continues to shape the future of equitable procurement practices in Canada and beyond.

As the visionary creator of the national BEBC Society online supplier portal, web learning platform, and website, she is a trailblazer in procurement strategy and supplier diversity. She is the primary facilitator, alongside program curator Jackee Kasandy in teaching a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind procurement course tailored to prepare suppliers for certification while enabling corporations to diversify their supply chains. This transformative course equips suppliers with the tools and strategies needed to achieve certification and confidently navigate procurement opportunities with both public and private sector organizations. Her career embodies a dedication to fostering innovation, championing equity, and empowering organizations and communities to thrive through strategic communications, impactful programs, and transformative initiatives.
