As traditional markets for traditional wood products continue to be impacted by global supply chains and competition, global markets are placing greater emphasis on new materials and applications in the bio-economy. North America and the EU have significant advantage with investments in innovation, however, it is still not clear where the highest value bio-economy products and uses will emerge. This session will explore the challenges and opportunities for scaling innovation through both business and policy lenses, exploring some of the leading proponents for new materials and applications.
