Solaiman is the Director of Project Finance at the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE), responsible for aligning DCCE’s vision and development strategies to the National Development Priorities and assisting the government entities and the private sector thoughout the transition towards a Green Economy to ensure Sustainable Development.
He led many government initiatives such as, assisting the Federal government in setting the objectives and KPIs to increase efficiencies and reduce the environmental impact, the development of the carbon abatement strategy for Dubai, the UAE GHG inventory, developing the tools to finance green & sustainable projects, and many other projects.
Previously, he worked at the United Nations in New York, as the first Emirati assigned to the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), managing and administering projects globally across diverse thematic sectors.
Back in home country, Solaiman joined UNDP, where he provided a provision of top quality policy advice services to the UAE Government and facilitation of knowledge building and management.
He has holds a Masters in International Business and a Bachelors in Finance.
