There have been calls from many quarters for a strategy to guide public policy and private investment in Canada’s energy sector. As the ‘owners’ of Canada’s natural resources, provinces and territories have a key role to play in shaping the development, processing, distribution, use and trade in our abundant energy resources, both renewable and non-renewable. This session will bring together a select group of provincial energy ministers and representatives from the business community to explore regional priorities for a Canadian energy strategy delivering economic prosperity, improvements in environmental performance and a secure, reliable and affordable energy supply.
