|Every year, the CCEMC provides millions of dollars in funding to projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The organization funds projects that include carbon capture and storage, renewable energy, cleaner energy production, energy efficiency, and projects that reduce emissions or enhance carbon sequestration from biological sources.
From April 15-17 the CCEMC and the City of Edmonton will host innovators and leading thinkers from around the world at Zero 2014: A Conference for a low carbon future. The conference will feature presentations from the finalists of the first round of the CCEMC $35 million Grand Challenge, which is seeking technologies from around the world that can convert CO2 emissions into new carbon-based products and markets.
