Sebastian Ennis is an Associate at Arvay Finlay LLP, a boutique litigation firm that specializes in complex public interest lawsuits. Among other constitutional cases in BC and across Canada, Sebastian is counsel for the youth plaintiffs in the La Rose climate change lawsuit against the federal government.

Before joining Arvay Finlay as an Associate, he served as a judicial law clerk at both the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Sebastian volunteers as a Director of Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada, a non-profit that promotes international human rights and the rule of law. He is familiar with United Nations human rights mechanisms and on multiple occasions has provided support for the UN Human Rights Committee.

Sebastian dedicates a portion of his practice to pro bono international human rights complaints. He serves on the Executive of the International Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and is an inaugural member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Indigenous Justice Advocacy Committee.
