Since 2011, Justyna has worked for several environmental engineering companies specializing in wastewater treatment and innovative anaerobic digestion solutions. Prior to joining SYMBIONA, Justyna worked for several years in international NGOs covering sustainable development issues.
Her areas of expertise include: waste water treatment, water recovery and reuse, circular economy, green energy, and the human dimensions of environmental change. She is passionate about helping companies find new ways of generating profit from their environmental investments, promoting the advancement of technologies that produce valuable green energy such as anaerobic membrane bioreactors (AnMBR), and supporting solutions that close water circuit, such as zero liquid discharge systems.
While acknowledging the importance of water in sustainable development, Justyna actively works for a better understanding of water reuse and recovery, especially in rural areas. She holds MA degrees from Warsaw School of Economics and University of Warsaw.
