Christina Olsen is working with groundbreaking urban ecologist Dr. Jennie Moore to develop the Ecocity Centre of Excellence at BCIT, a legacy of the 2019 Ecocity World Summit in Vancouver. The Centre will anchor the global leadership of BCIT in the restructuring of cities to reduce their carbon and ecological footprints while simultaneously regenerating natural habitat.
Christina’s 20-year sustainability background also includes work with the San Francisco Planning Department, Nutter Consulting smart cities strategy firm, Wilson Center Urban Sustainability Lab, and Post Carbon Institute, among others. She is also on the board of the EcoSmart Foundation, a Vancouver non-profit organization that develops grid-tied solar farms, particularly in First Nations communities. Christina’s formal education includes sustainability degrees from Harvard and the University of Victoria.
