Syma Habib is a systems-focused food leader who convenes cross-sector partners to build more resilient, equitable, and future-ready food systems. Drawing on a food systems career that has integrated front-line community development, national chronic disease prevention, municipal strategy, and community-led innovation, Syma translates big-picture thinking into grounded, collaborative action. She is currently implementing Calgary’s first Food Resilience Strategy at The City of Calgary, and hopes to seed transformative change in the face of growing climate and social pressures.
