Sadie Anwender is the fourth-generation on her family’s ranch (Anwender Cattle Company as well as her herd that operates under Me ’N My Shorthorns & Simmentals) near Radville, Saskatchewan. Alongside her fiancé and parents, they work raising Purebred Shorthorn and Simmental cattle. They market animals and genetics on a global scale, while implementing innovative technologies such as embryo transfer to build on their best animals.
Sadie completed her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in accounting, from the University of Regina in 2022. She is currently in the home stretch of completing her Chartered Professional accountant designation. Sadie also works off-farm full time in post-secondary education, gaining further experience in the accounting field.
In August of 2024, Sadie and her fiancé were able to move their own home onto the ranch; This has allowed them to once again become more involved in the daily operations. Sadie was a 4-H member for ten years in addition to serving on numerous junior cattle boards during and after that time. She was selected as a member of the Canadian Agricultural Youth Council in 2024. Sadie is intrigued by the opportunities to continue advancing consumer education as well as directly marketing beef products to consumers, as she has seen exponential growth in this area over the last five years. She is appreciative of the opportunity to be able to share her thoughts at the Summit.
