Ryan Tougas-Cooke leads the Smart Prosperity Institute’s agriculture and agri-food systems work. He completed his M.Sc in Environmental Sustainability at the University of Ottawa and is accredited by the Project Management Institute. His work focuses on developing smart policy solutions and pilot programs that support innovation and advance resilient farming practices.
Ryan has also worked with environmental outcome markets, green finance and insurance products, and certification initiatives across the agri-food value chain. Prior to joining SPI, he worked on analyzing farm input application practices, hydroponic farming systems, and policies and programs to manage agricultural runoff.
