Mackenzie grew up on a third generation small grains and oilseeds farm in Fairview Alberta. Growing up, in-between playing various sports, he was always on the farm. After high school Mackenzie attended Olds College graduating with an Agriculture Management Diploma.
Fresh out of college, he started MJ Ag to pursue his passion for balanced soil health and fertility while growing the farm and becoming full time with both businesses. Lately the company has been expanding into multiple forms of vertical integration including on farm value added processing and localized manufacturing of select fertility products. Mackenzie is always looking for ways to improve our supply chain and excited for the Food Leadership Summit to do exactly that.
