Indira Moudi

CEO, Viandes Lafrance
Indira Moudi is a Canadian-African entrepreneur and certified board director who bridges global systems and local impact. An industrial engineer by training, she built her career in the international energy sector with Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, and Orano before boldly acquiring Viandes Lafrance in 2012 — a century-old Quebec agribusiness. Under her leadership, the company became Quebec’s first federally certified multi-species slaughterhouse (sheep, cattle, and goat) and developed the Responsible Meat Process, positioning Viandes Lafrance as a pioneer in sustainable and inclusive practices, working principally with family farms. The company was awarded the 2023 Mercuriades Award for Sustainable Development. Recognized as 2023 SME CEO of the Year by Les Affaires in Quebec and recipient of the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canada-Africa Business Summit, she embodies human-centered leadership anchored in trust and innovation. Indira is a sought-after voice at major forums, including COP28 in Dubai, the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, and Victoria Forum 2025 in Canada.
