David Hughes has been President and CEO of Generate Canada since 2016, leading major national initiatives like the Canada Plastics Pact and Energy Futures Lab that drive climate-smart, nature-positive systems change. He previously led Habitat for Humanity Canada and Pathways to Education through periods of significant growth, and held senior global roles with SOS Children’s Villages. David is a Senior Fellow at the Smart Prosperity Institute and a Clean50 Honouree. He holds degrees from Western, LSE, and Harvard.
