Big News from the Food Leadership Summit
On Day 1 of the Summit, CANZA (the Canadian Alliance for Net-Zero Agri-food) launched the Million Acre Challenge, a bold new initiative to scale regenerative farming practices across Canada, starting with 365,000 acres over the next five years.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION PROCESS – THE 2025 FOOD LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Dates: October 7-8, 2025
Location: BMO Centre, Stampede Park, Calgary, Alberta
The 2025 , hosted by , is inviting journalists from recognized media outlets to attend and report on the summit and uncover insights from across the agriculture and food system.
Journalists working with recognized print, digital and broadcast newswires, business, news, industry and trade outlets and publications are invited to attend.

Recognized and eligible media include:

- Marketing or advertising executives, researchers or authors
- Directory editors
All members of the media planning to attend must be pre-accredited to gain access to events at the summit. Accreditation is personal and non-transferable.
Accredited Media Will Have Unrestricted Access To:
- Open-door sessions including mainstage conversations, intimate roundtable discussions and engaging workshops.
- Lunch
- A detailed schedule of events and the ability to request access to closed-door, invite-only sessions.
Accreditation does not guarantee access to all of the summit’s session or event rooms. Please work with the GLOBE team to maximize your time at the event and access the sessions you’re most interested in.
We strongly advise you to register in advance of the conference to avoid delays as same-day accreditation is not guaranteed.
Applications and Deadlines:
All media applying for accreditation will be required to submit proof of employment and/or assignment by a newswire, print, digital or broadcast outlet or publication. Please send the required documents to by Monday, September 29, 2025.
Required documents include:
- Government-issued photo ID
- Press ID or letter of assignment on outlet letterhead
- Outlet details
- Recent bylines or broadcast links showing relevant coverage
- Optional to include a coverage plan with any requested interviews or access to sessions.
Media Guidelines:
Filming and Recording:
- Any participant (media, delegate, supplier, government representative) wishing to film/record audio or video of the event must advise and obtain permission from GLOBE media team staff beforehand.
- Requests to film/record a particular session must be provided at least one day in advance to ensure space is available in the designated filming area.
- Camera crews must set up their gear in the approved location at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
On-Site Resources:
- Media will have access to Wi-Fi and lounges with working tables. The GLOBE team will be available to support with any technology required. Please do not leave your belongings unattended in any of the lounges. GLOBE does not claim any responsibility for any lost or damaged items.
Press Badges:
- Press badges provided at the event must be worn and visible at all times. Badges will only provide access to events and activities in approved areas.
Independent Media and Eligible Media:
- Individuals who do not work for a media organization (independent members of the media) will have to provide proof of recent publications relevant to the Food Leadership Summit’s scope.
- GLOBE, the producing organization, may conduct additional research to confirm media legitimacy and reserves the right to decline media who do not meet the criteria. Approval is at the organizer’s discretion. Prior accreditation does not guarantee future approval, and accreditation does not guarantee access to any specific room, area or individual.
Usage Rights:
- The commercial use of any photography, video or film taken at the Food Leadership Summit is strictly prohibited without written consent of the Food Leadership Summit management team. The sale of photography, video and film is also prohibited.
Submitting a request does not guarantee media access. All requests will be processed and applying media will be notified.
