  • Accelerate Innovation and Technology Adoption

Canadian agriculture faces increasing uncertainty, from extreme weather to rising costs and market instability. While there’s interest in climate resilience and low-emissions practices, perceived risks and uncertain short-term returns remain key barriers.

Insurers, financial actors, and value chain partners could help change this, turning risk into opportunity.

Innovative de-risking tools, such as novel insurance products, risk management programs, and enhanced lending, may reduce uncertainty, build confidence in climate resilient practices, unlock new markets, and support farm businesses resilience.

Drawing from a national project piloting scalable de-risking tools for improved nitrogen management, this workshop explores practical tools to reduce on-farm and investment risks. It’s designed for insurers, financial actors, and value chain partners looking to drive resilience, competitiveness, and long-term value across the agriculture and food sector. Join us for a session that will spark new insights and connections and help shape innovation in Canadian agriculture.

Workshops are open to all attendees—typically engaging 20 to 60 participants—in interactive formats that foster collaborative problem-solving around key challenges and opportunities. Designed to apply learnings and collect insights in real time, participants are equipped to contribute meaningfully to foster long-term outcomes and impact that extends well beyond the event.
