Failure is not an option when it comes to climate change. Transforming our energy and transportation systems is key to achieving a net-zero future. The world has already started transitioning, disrupting energy markets, and putting pressure on fossil fuel development. Adding to the pressure, the Government of Canada has legislated a net-zero emissions target for 2050.
Over two days, participants will tackle the big questions: What is the pathway to carbon neutrality for energy and transportation in Canada? How can we ensure our country is competitive while undergoing system transformation? How do we scale clean solutions and innovation? How do we ensure the transition is just and that no one is left behind in the fight against climate change – including those whose jobs are put at risk by the transition to cleaner energy?
Topics include but are not limited to renewable energy, just and equitable transition, clean energy policies, low-carbon fuels, decarbonization, zero-emission pledges, zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), and public transport.
Explore the Energy and Transportation Days agenda: Day 1 offers signature GLOBE Series programming and networking sessions. Day 2 offers partner-side events and programming.
Nature and the bioeconomy have the potential to both mitigate climate change and build climate resilience in Canada. Over the course of two days, participants will consider how to scale natural climate solutions and the bioeconomy by exploring key questions: With a finite supply of land, how do we maximize its climate resilience, biodiversity, and productivity? How can we monetize the value of our diverse green and blue ecosystems? How can public and private partners support Indigenous leadership in nature?
Day 1 offers signature GLOBE Series programming and networking sessions. Day 2 offers partner-side events and programming.
