NatureBank is a global leader in the design, development, and implementation of carbon projects at all scales.

NatureBank works with private sector clients, international development agencies and civil society to develop carbon projects in Latin America, Africa, Asia and in North America. Through Offsetters, a wholly owned subsidiary, they supply offsets to the voluntary carbon market, allowing companies to take responsibility for their climate impact. Another wholly-owned subsidiary, Forest Finest, based in Bonn Germany, is a leader in the implementation and improvement of agroforestry commodities with a focus on cocoa and sustainable timber. In addition, their not-for-profit partner Taking Root is an award winning organization specializing in smallholder livelihood improvement.

Phil has a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of Hertfordshire. He then spent a year working as a research student at St. Andrews investigating high temperature ceramics for fuel cell applications. Influenced by his academic expertise, Phil was drawn to a career in climate change, in particular, the interaction between science and finance. Phil later earned his MSc in Climate Change and Risk Management from the University of Exeter in the UK. His postgraduate research focused on the European emissions trading scheme and its relationship to European energy commodity prices.
