Carolina Gallo joined ABB, a pioneering technology leader and one of the world’s largest industrial manufacturer and engineering companies, in 2013 as Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Country Manager. In 2017, she assumed her new and current position as Vice President of Government Relations. Responsibilities in her role include building and fostering relationships with municipal, provincial and federal members of the Canadian government, strategically curating events and engagement in public and industry thought leadership forums and developing regulatory and public policy watch briefings to support each of the 23 business units of ABB in Canada.
With over 20 years of experience in communications and strategic positioning for brands and leaders in business, philanthropy and public affairs, she was recognized by the Women in Finance Association of Quebec for contributing to the advancement of women in leadership in 2008.
Carolina holds a political science degree from Concordia University, a civil law degree from the University of Montreal, and is a member of the Bar of Quebec. An ardent believer in social entrepreneurship, public policy and sustainability, Carolina has participated in numerous campaigns including her past involvement with Montreal Social Justice Committee on Environment, Candidate for the City of Montreal elections, Quebec Chair for the federal campaign of Liberal Party of Canada and a respected finalist for Quebec Science Innovation.
She remains an active leader in the community, as a mentor to McGill scholarship students and the women’s ‘Ton Avenir En Main/Seize Your Future’ Program, as well as Program Chair for the International Women’s Forum in Montreal. Carolina served on various private, community and non-profit boards and committees throughout her career, including Earth Day France and Quebec, Techno Parc of Montreal, the Guild of First Nations and Canadian Art.
