Future Proofing Investor and Corporate Decision Making – What the Trends Tell Us about the Sustainability and ESG Integration in Finance

Today, a growing majority of investors are actively integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into their decision-making processes. This mega-trend will only accelerate into the future. Evolving investment practices will have implications for both investors and reporting issuers in terms of regulatory requirements, access to capital, competition, reputational capital, and value creation.

Large publically traded or privately held companies are now experiencing a new pressure point for sustainability concerns, through their investor relations and finance groups. The results of which is the need for enhanced business rigor, financial analysis, and strategic decision making and disclosure related to environmental, social and governance issues.

As trusted advisors to investors, corporate issuers, and other capital market participants, Millani offers a unique perspective on the rapidly evolving field of ESG integration and sustainable finance. They will present their views on the most significant ESG integration trends in capital markets for 2019 and beyond.

Delphi has acted as a partner on developing corporate sustainability strategies to over 30 of Canada’s top 100 companies, across the major sectors of the economy. This work has them doing deep dives with executive teams on many of the difficult decisions, issues and challenges associated with making sustainability and ESG issues create value at the enterprise level. They will share their experience, insights and projections of future trends at this roundtable.
