Simon leads Sustainalytics’ Advisory Services team. For the second year in a row Sustainalytics received top honours in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey – being voted Best Independent Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) Research Firm Globally.
Simon manages a diverse, global team of ESG professionals and is a member of Sustainalytics’ executive team. He is responsible for client servicing, consulting and a number of product areas.
Simon provides counsel to senior executives and investment professionals on developing and implementing responsible investment strategies; and has written and supported the successful publication of dozens of public and client-commissioned reports that explore responsible investment strategies, materiality, and ESG best practices. Most recently he led the team that wrote the 2013 Best Practice Guidance for Policymakers and Stock Exchanges on Sustainability Reporting Initiatives for the United Nations Commission on Trade and Development. This report became formal UN guidance on regulatory approaches to encouraging ESG disclosures.
He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, professional certification from the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and is a certified Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) trainer.
